Backflow Device Testing Services
P&G Irrigation Co, Inc. specializes in the testing of backflow prevention devices not only for irrigation purposes but also Fire Protection Backflows and Main Water Supply Backflow Devices required by local water authorities.
If you have domestic water service, an irrigation system, or a fire protection system, you probably have backflow devices already present on your property. Your local water authority is/or will soon be requiring that these devices be tested on a regular basis. Failure to comply with testing requirements may result in fines and your water service being discontinued. Due to recent developments regarding water contaminations and the war on terror, compliance is mandatory! If you already have backflow devices installed, most likely you will soon receive a letter from your local water authority stating that an annual test and filing to the department is due.
WHAT IS
BACKFLOW Backflow is the reversal of the flow of water from its intended direction in any pipeline or plumbing system. Backflow is dangerous because it can allow drinking water in plumbing systems to become contaminated and unusable, possibly even deadly. Backflow can allow bacteria and other contaminants to enter your tap and drinking water supply. Fortunately, this problem is preventable!
THE SOLUTION
